Absolutely. Even the origin of trigonometry can be traced back to India around 350 AD.

@@RenderRides Pythagoras theorem, invention of zero and many other mathematical concept can't be attributed to Indian mathematicians before thier rediscovery in the west.

Let's say you have 3 render layers for the 160 frames. What you want to do is import those three sets of 160 images as image sequences in whatever software you're using to composite them. Then you simply stack them o top of each other in the timeline to get the full image. Here's my workflow in AfterEffects if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/q62uih1DNrI/v-deo.html

They're all Polycam except the one with the bricks point cloud and railway track- those are from DisplayLand which is an old, discontinued version of Polycam from back when they first got into the scene. And yes, there are more apps for photogrammetry like KIRI Engine, which uses neural networks to enhance the process a bit.

Yess! They started off with using the same engine they used for Wolfenstein 3D, but as more complex levels were created that caused problems with the engine, their lead programmer began to use BSP to reduce the portion of the level that the player could see at a given time. So at the end, they did have the technical 2.5D limitations as with raycasting, but it went on to become something different. Sorry for all the confusion- I'll clear it up for everyone if I make a video on BSP :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

@RenderRides Yeah, I'd love to see you talk about it! DOOM is one of my favorite shooters, both for its vanilla gameplay and ability to be modified. It's crazy to think how much impact id software had over gaming with Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, and especially Quake. Talking about this makes me wanna try my hand at DOOM mapping again...
